Terms of Service

Last updated: October 14, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, starting a trial, clicking to accept, or using the JobGrid platform (the "Service"), you ("Customer," "you") agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

2. Definitions

  • "Customer" means the contractor business that creates an account and is billed for the Service.
  • "User" means an individual person given a login under Customer's account.
  • "End User" means a homeowner or property owner whose personal information Customer uploads to, or collects through, the Service, including through documents sent for signature or a homeowner tracker link.
  • "Subcontractor" means a third party Customer invites to upload files or photos through a subcontractor upload link.
  • "Customer Data" means all data, content, documents, and photos uploaded to the Service by Customer, its Users, its End Users, or its Subcontractors.
  • "Plan" means the subscription tier Customer selects (Starter, Growth, or Pro).
  • "Service" means the JobGrid software platform, including the web application at app.jobgrid.app and the JobGrid mobile app.

3. The Service

JobGrid provides software for construction and home improvement contractors in any trade, including lead and pipeline management, estimates, contracts and electronic signature, change orders, job and production management, job costing, and related tools.

The features included in each Plan are described on the pricing page at jobgrid.app, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. JobGrid may add, modify, or remove features of the Service. JobGrid will make reasonable efforts to notify Customers in advance of material changes that reduce the core functionality of a paid Plan, and will not remove a core feature from a Plan during a Customer's prepaid annual term.

4. Eligibility and Territory

The Service is offered only to businesses located in, and operating within, the United States. JobGrid does not knowingly offer the Service to individuals or businesses located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions subject to the GDPR or comparable foreign data protection law, and this Section 4 constitutes JobGrid's express statement that such laws are outside the scope of these Terms. If you are located outside the United States, you may not use the Service.

5. Plans, Users, Trial, and Billing

5.1 Plans and Pricing

  • Starter: $149 per month, or $1,490 per year, including 3 Users.
  • Growth: $299 per month, or $2,990 per year, including 6 Users.
  • Pro: $499 per month, or $4,990 per year, including 10 Users.
  • Additional Users on any Plan: $35 per month, or $350 per year, per User.

Prices do not include applicable taxes.

5.2 Users

Each User seat is assigned to one named individual. Login credentials may not be shared between individuals. Customer may reassign a seat to a different individual, for example when an employee leaves. Customer is responsible for all activity that occurs under its account and its Users' logins.

5.3 Free Trial

New accounts receive a 14 day free trial with access to all features, at the Pro level, for up to 3 Users. Free trials are limited to one per business. No payment information is required to start a trial. Billing begins only once Customer selects a Plan and enters payment information, and the account then moves to the features of the Plan selected. If no paid Plan is chosen by the end of the trial, the account becomes read only: Customer can view and download its data and subscribe, but cannot create or edit anything. Unless Customer subscribes, Customer Data is deleted 30 days after the trial ends, and JobGrid will email Customer 7 days and 1 day before that deletion.

5.4 Payment Processing

Subscription payments are processed through Stripe. Subscriptions are purchased only on the JobGrid website, not inside the mobile app. JobGrid does not store Customer's full payment card number.

5.5 Automatic Renewal

Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then current price for the Plan and number of Users on the account, until canceled. For annual plans, JobGrid will send advance notice before the renewal charge, as required under California Business and Professions Code Section 17602. Customer may cancel a monthly or annual plan at any time online through the account dashboard, with no phone call or email required. Renewal terms are also disclosed at checkout at the time of purchase.

5.6 Upgrades and Additional Users

Customer may upgrade to a higher Plan or add Users at any time, on monthly or annual billing. Upgrades and added Users take effect immediately and are charged on a prorated basis for the remainder of the current billing period.

5.7 Downgrades and Removing Users

Monthly plans: Customer may move to a lower Plan or remove Users, effective at the start of the next billing period.

Annual plans: Customer may not move to a lower Plan or remove Users during the annual term. Customer may choose a lower Plan or fewer Users effective at renewal.

If Customer moves to a lower Plan, data from features that Plan does not include is kept and can be viewed in read only mode. Customer can create and edit that data again after upgrading. Links Customer has already shared with End Users and Subcontractors keep working until the related Customer Data is deleted under Section 15.

5.8 Pausing a Monthly Plan

Where offered in the cancellation flow, Customer on a monthly plan may pause its subscription for 1, 2, or 3 months instead of canceling. A pause starts at the end of the current paid billing period, so Customer keeps full access through the period already paid for. During a pause, no subscription charges are made, the account is read only, and Customer Data is retained. Billing resumes automatically at the end of the pause period, and the payment method on file is charged. If that payment fails, the account remains paused and read only, and JobGrid will send reminders. If payment is not made within 30 days of the failed payment, Customer Data is deleted under Section 15. Customer may pause again after paying for at least one full billing period following the end of a pause. Pausing is available whether or not Customer has used the cancellation offer in Section 5.9. Pausing is not available on annual plans.

5.9 Promotions, Referral Codes, and Cancellation Offers

One promotional code or referral code may be applied per account. Promotional codes and referral codes cannot be combined with each other. A code must be entered at the time of purchase, or at the end of the free trial, to apply.

Referral discount: a Customer that enters a valid referral code receives 25% off its first month on a monthly plan, or, on an annual plan, a fixed amount off its first annual invoice equal to 25% of one month's price: $37.25 for Starter, $74.75 for Growth, or $124.75 for Pro.

Cancellation offer: when a Customer on a monthly plan begins to cancel, JobGrid may offer 50% off the next month. This offer is available once per business, ever, as determined by JobGrid in its sole discretion, including by matching business name, tax identification number, email domain, phone number, or payment method. The cancellation offer may be combined with a promotional or referral discount. It is not available on annual plans.

5.10 No Refunds

All payments are non refundable, for monthly and annual plans alike, including partial billing periods, unused Users, and any remaining time on an annual term after cancellation, except where a refund is required by law.

5.11 Cancellation

Customer may cancel at any time through the account dashboard. Access to paid features continues through the end of the then current paid billing period, and no further charges are made after cancellation takes effect. Customer Data is then handled as described in Section 15.

5.12 Fee Changes

JobGrid may change subscription fees. JobGrid will provide at least 30 days notice of any fee change to the email associated with the account. A fee change takes effect at Customer's next renewal date on or after the end of the notice period. Continued use of the Service after a fee change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new fee.

5.13 Taxes

Customer is responsible for all sales, use, and similar taxes applicable to its subscription, other than taxes based on JobGrid's income.

6. Data Ownership, License, and Processing

6.1 Ownership

As between Customer and JobGrid, Customer retains ownership of all Customer Data.

6.2 License to JobGrid

Customer grants JobGrid a limited license to host, process, and display Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Service. This license ends when Customer Data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6.3 Processing of End User and Subcontractor Data

Where Customer Data includes personal information about End Users or Subcontractors, JobGrid acts as a service provider and processor on Customer's behalf for purposes of the CCPA and comparable state privacy laws. JobGrid will process such personal information only to provide the Service to Customer, will not sell or share it, will not retain, use, or disclose it outside that business relationship, and will not combine it with personal information JobGrid receives from other sources, except as permitted under applicable law. Customer may take reasonable and appropriate steps to ensure JobGrid uses such personal information consistent with Customer's obligations under applicable privacy law. If JobGrid determines it can no longer meet its obligations under this Section 6.3, JobGrid will notify Customer, and Customer may take reasonable steps to stop and remediate any unauthorized use. Customer is responsible for providing any notice to, and obtaining any consent from, End Users and Subcontractors required under applicable law.

6.4 Security Incident Notification

If JobGrid confirms a security incident affecting Customer Data, JobGrid will notify Customer within 72 hours of that confirmation and will cooperate with Customer's reasonable requests related to the incident.

6.5 No AI Training

JobGrid does not use Customer Data, including uploaded photos, to train any artificial intelligence model. If this changes, JobGrid will update these Terms and the Privacy Policy and provide notice before the change takes effect.

7. Contracts, Signatures, Payments, and Customer's Legal Responsibilities

7.1 JobGrid Is a Tool, Not a Party

Estimates, contracts, change orders, Certificates of Completion, card authorization forms, and other documents created in the Service are Customer's documents. JobGrid is not a party to any agreement between Customer and its End Users or Subcontractors, does not provide legal advice, and does not warrant that any document or template complies with any law. Customer is solely responsible for the content of its documents and for complying with all laws that apply to them, including state contractor licensing laws and home improvement contract laws, such as California Business and Professions Code Section 7159 and any required notice of the buyer's right to cancel.

7.2 Electronic Signatures

Before an End User signs electronically, the Service presents an electronic records disclosure and requires the End User's consent, consistent with the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (15 U.S.C. §7001 and following) and the California Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (Cal. Civ. Code §1633.1 and following). The Service records each signature together with the disclosure shown, the signer's typed name, IP address, device information, time, and a document fingerprint. Customer is responsible for honoring any End User request made to Customer to receive a paper copy, to sign on paper instead, or to withdraw consent to electronic records. JobGrid does not guarantee that any particular document will be enforceable.

7.3 Payments Between Customer and End Users

JobGrid does not process, hold, or transmit payments between Customer and its End Users. Invoicing and stage payment features are for tracking only. JobGrid is not a payment processor or money transmitter and is not a party to any payment transaction between Customer and its End Users.

7.4 Card Authorization Forms

JobGrid stores only the cardholder name, billing address, card brand, the last four digits of a card, and the End User's signed authorization. Never enter a full card number, expiration date, or security code anywhere in JobGrid, including in notes, messages, or uploaded photos or documents. Customer is solely responsible for charging any card through its own payment processor and for complying with card network rules.

7.5 Commissions

JobGrid calculates commissions from the figures you enter. It does not create or replace the written commission agreement required by California Labor Code §2751 or similar laws.

7.6 Reports

Job costing, profit, and other reports are calculated from figures Customer enters and are not accounting, tax, or financial advice.

8. Acceptable Use

Customer and its Users will not use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others. Customer is responsible for the accuracy of data it enters, for obtaining any consent required from End Users before uploading their information or photos, and for the Subcontractors it invites and the content they upload. Customer will not upload malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts, reverse engineer the Service except where law permits despite this restriction, resell or sublicense the Service, or use the Service to send unsolicited messages.

9. Mobile App

The JobGrid mobile app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your license to the app itself is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement or Google Play's terms, as applicable. These Terms govern your account, subscription, and use of the Service through the app.

The app requests access only to the device camera, the photo library (to choose photos), and saving photos to the device (only when the User asks). It does not access device location or contacts and does not track Users across other apps.

The app works with limited functionality without a connection: you can open jobs you've already viewed, add notes and photos, and move jobs between stages. Changes sync automatically when you're back online. Signing in, sending documents to homeowners, and anything homeowners sign need a connection. Changes made offline are stored on the device until they sync, and JobGrid is not responsible for offline changes lost before syncing, for example if the app is deleted first.

10. Intellectual Property and Feedback

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by JobGrid and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant Customer any rights to JobGrid's intellectual property beyond the right to use the Service as permitted here. If Customer provides feedback or suggestions about the Service, JobGrid may use that feedback without restriction or obligation to Customer.

11. Copyright Infringement

JobGrid responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. §512, as described in the JobGrid DMCA Policy at jobgrid.app, which includes our designated agent's contact information. JobGrid will, in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement. JobGrid does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error free. JobGrid will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain availability of the Service but does not guarantee a specific uptime percentage.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobGrid will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from use of the Service. JobGrid's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount Customer paid to JobGrid in the twelve months before the claim arose. This limitation does not apply to Customer's indemnification obligations under Section 14.1.

14. Indemnification

14.1 By Customer

Customer will indemnify and hold JobGrid harmless from claims, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from Customer's use of the Service, including content, documents, or photos uploaded by Customer, its Users, or its Subcontractors; Customer's contracts and dealings with its End Users and Subcontractors, including compliance with contractor licensing and home improvement contract laws; Customer's commission arrangements with its personnel; and Customer's violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14.2 By JobGrid

JobGrid will indemnify and hold Customer harmless from claims that the Service, as provided by JobGrid and used in accordance with these Terms, infringes a third party's intellectual property rights, excluding claims arising from Customer Data or Customer's misuse of the Service.

15. Termination and Data Deletion

Either party may terminate for the other party's material breach if not cured within 30 days of notice. JobGrid may suspend or terminate an account immediately for non payment or violation of Section 7.4 or Section 8. Upon cancellation or termination, Customer Data is retained for 30 days after the end of the last paid billing period to allow self serve export, and JobGrid will email Customer 7 days and 1 day before deletion. Customer Data is then deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Homeowner tracker links and subcontractor upload links stop working once the related Customer Data is deleted. Billing and transaction records are retained separately and for longer, as described in our Privacy Policy, to comply with tax and financial recordkeeping law. JobGrid also keeps a limited record of deleted accounts, as described in the Privacy Policy, and may decline free trials, referral discounts, promotional codes, or cancellation offers for a business that has already used them.

16. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, conducted in Los Angeles County, California. Each party will bear its own arbitration costs and attorney fees unless the arbitrator determines a claim was frivolous. Disputes will be resolved on an individual basis only; Customer waives any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, or representative action.

17. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. To the extent any dispute is not subject to arbitration under Section 16, the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

18. General Provisions

Force Majeure. Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform due to causes beyond its reasonable control.

Assignment. Customer may not assign these Terms without JobGrid's consent. JobGrid may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Notice. JobGrid may provide notice to Customer via the email associated with the account. Customer may provide notice to JobGrid at support@jobgrid.app.

Survival. Sections covering payment obligations already incurred, data ownership and security, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination of these Terms.

19. Changes to These Terms

JobGrid may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where required by law, Customer will be notified in advance.

20. Referral and Affiliate Programs

JobGrid operates a Referral Program and a separate Affiliate Program, governed by their own terms available at jobgrid.app. A Customer is only treated as referred if the referring party's unique referral code is entered at the time of purchase. If Customer was referred in this manner, Customer acknowledges that limited billing information, specifically that Customer was referred, whether Customer's account is active and paying, and the amounts Customer has paid, may be shared with the referring party solely to calculate and administer referral rewards or commissions.
