Introduction
JobGrid Inc. ("JobGrid," "we," "our," or "us") provides software for construction and home improvement contractors in any trade, including lead and pipeline management, estimates, contracts and electronic signature, job management, and job costing. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit jobgrid.app, use the web application at app.jobgrid.app, or use the JobGrid mobile app.
This policy covers four categories of people:
- Customers: the contractor businesses that subscribe to JobGrid, and their Users (owners, staff, managers, and sales reps with a login).
- End Users: homeowners or property owners whose information a Customer enters into JobGrid or collects through it, for example as a lead, a job, or a signer of a contract.
- Subcontractors: third parties a Customer invites to upload files or photos through a subcontractor upload link.
- Affiliates and Referring Customers: individuals or businesses enrolled in JobGrid's Affiliate Program or Referral Program.
JobGrid acts as the business that controls Customer, Affiliate, and Referring Customer account data, and generally as a service provider processing data on behalf of Customers for End User and Subcontractor data.
Territory
The Service is offered only to businesses located in, and operating within, the United States. JobGrid does not knowingly offer the Service to individuals or businesses located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions subject to the GDPR or comparable foreign data protection law.

Mobile App Information
The JobGrid mobile app requests access only to the device camera, the photo library (to choose photos), and saving photos to the device (only when the User asks). The app does not access device location or contacts and does not track Users across other apps or websites. When used offline, the app stores jobs the User has already viewed, and notes, photos, and changes made offline, on the device until they sync to JobGrid. The app uses a crash reporting service to collect technical information when the app fails.
Automatically Collected Information
- IP address and device information
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited, time spent, and general usage patterns
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies
How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the JobGrid platform
- Process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe
- Send email and in app notifications, including sending documents to End Users for review and signature on a Customer's behalf, and account notices such as trial, payment, and deletion reminders
- Record and preserve electronic signatures and related evidence
- Process and pay commissions and rewards under the Affiliate Program and Referral Program, and collect tax information required for that purpose
- Respond to support requests
- Analyze platform usage to improve features
- Detect and prevent fraud or misuse, including preventing repeat use of free trials, referral and promotional discounts, and cancellation offers that are limited to one per business
- Comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting obligations
JobGrid does not use Customer, End User, or Subcontractor data, including uploaded photos, to train any artificial intelligence model.
Information Sharing
We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help operate the platform, including our payment processor, cloud hosting provider, email delivery provider, and crash reporting provider, each under contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations
- A referring Affiliate or Referring Customer, limited to whether a Customer they referred is active and paying and the amounts that Customer has paid, solely to calculate and pay commissions or rewards
- Parties as required by law, subpoena, or legal process, including tax authorities in connection with required reporting of Affiliate and Referring Customer payments
- Parties as necessary to protect JobGrid's rights, property, or safety, or that of our Customers, End Users, or others
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
Information an End User or Subcontractor provides through a Customer's documents or links is also available to that Customer.
Cookies and Tracking
We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to operate the platform, understand usage, and improve features. These tools are used for analytics purposes only; JobGrid does not currently run advertising or retargeting pixels. You can control cookie settings through your browser. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.
Do Not Track. Our websites do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
Data Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system is fully secure, and JobGrid cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Breach Notification
If JobGrid becomes aware of a breach of security compromising personal information, we will notify affected individuals in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, consistent with applicable state breach notification law, and will provide information about the nature of the breach and steps individuals can take to protect themselves.
Data Retention
Customer Data includes all data in a Customer's account, including End User and Subcontractor data. It is retained and deleted as follows:
- Active subscriptions: retained for as long as the subscription is active.
- Free trials: new trials start with access to all features. If a trial ends without a paid plan, the account becomes read only: the Customer can view and download its data and subscribe, but cannot create or edit anything. If no plan is chosen, Customer Data is deleted 30 days after the trial ends.
- Paused subscriptions: retained during the pause. When the pause ends, billing restarts automatically. If that payment fails, the account stays paused and read only, and JobGrid will send reminders. If payment is not made within 30 days of the failed payment, Customer Data is deleted.
- Cancellation: Customer Data is deleted 30 days after the end of the last paid billing period.
- Before any deletion, JobGrid emails the account owner 7 days and 1 day in advance.
- Customers may export their data at any time through self serve tools, including while an account is read only and during the 30 day window before deletion.
- Homeowner tracker links and subcontractor upload links stop working once the related Customer Data is deleted.
- Data stored on a device by the mobile app for offline use remains on that device until it syncs or the app is deleted.
Records Kept After Deletion
- Former account record: JobGrid keeps a limited record of each deleted account: business name, owner name, email address and domain, phone number, tax identification number if provided, payment card fingerprint from our payment processor, which free trials, discounts, and offers were used, and the dates of signup, cancellation, and deletion. We keep this record to prevent repeat use of one time trials and offers and to prevent fraud. It does not include any job, End User, or Subcontractor data.
- Billing and transaction records, including invoices, payment history, and related tax records, are retained for as long as required under applicable tax and financial recordkeeping law, generally several years.
- Affiliate and Referring Customer information, including tax records, is retained for as long as required under applicable tax recordkeeping law, generally several years, even after participation in the program ends.
Your Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights under applicable state privacy law, including the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected and how it is used
- Request access to your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and opt out of certain profiling or targeted advertising (JobGrid does not sell personal information)
- Appeal a denied request
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
These rights are established under state laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and comparable laws in other states. Specific rights, response timelines, and appeal processes vary by state; where a right described above is not available under your state's law, JobGrid may still honor it as a matter of practice, but is not obligated to do so.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below. Because End User and Subcontractor data is typically entered or collected by a Customer, those requests may be forwarded to the relevant Customer for fulfillment. Certain records cannot be deleted on request while retention is legally required or necessary to prevent fraud, including tax and billing records and the former account record described above.
Children's Privacy
JobGrid is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, with Los Angeles County as the venue for any disputes, consistent with JobGrid's Terms of Service.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Before launching new features that collect new kinds of information, we will update this policy to describe them.
